Pacific Palisades, CA
This home was originally built in the 1940s with a second-floor addition added in the 1990s. The idea for this home was to open up the older floor plan into more of an open concept that provided for better entertainment and flow for the family.
The walls were opened to the original master bedroom which was converted into a large TV room on the first level. The kitchen was gutted and ceilings raised with skylights to replace the existing windows. All bathrooms were updated, floors refinished, and new wood added upstairs to replace carpeting. The backyard was revamped by freshening up the pool, adding a barbecue and entertainment spaces. All landscape was also re-done.
These updates resulted in a casually elegant family home unique to the family’s style.
